New Release: “Welcome, Spirit”
Recorded and engineered in the band’s studio loft, Welcome, Spirit offers seven brand new tracks that take on a conceptual and psychedelic departure. While elements of Gonculator’s previous album OMNOMNOM (2010) remain prevalent (lush harmonies, use of dynamics), Welcome, Spirit takes a more organic approach to both songwriting and instrumentation. Expect to hear more acoustic guitars, more lead vocals from Sean, and psychotropic textures and soundscapes littered throughout.
Welcome, Spirit will be available for digital download on Friday, April 13, 2012. A show dedicated to it’s release will be held at the Lovin’ Cup in Rochester, NY on Saturday, April 28.
